Gel coat application

I'm reparing a small ding on the hull How do you apply gel coat. With a roller, brush or spray?

It all depends on what you're doing. How big is this small ding? What kind of end result are you looking for? What's your experience level with Gelcoat repairs? It all comes into play with the method used.

Small ding? None of the the tools mentioned . . .

Usually you dab a little gelcoat into the ding and cover the spot with a small piece of clear/rigid plastic until it cures. It results in a nice flat surface consistent with the surrounding area. For curved areas, you put a little bend to the rigid plastic.

The patch kits would have all the stuff needed.
