We just purchased our boat, a 20.5' Blue Water Cascade, a couple weeks ago and just picked up a Big Air Vapor tower to go on it. I have a question about mounting locations though. The front mount will be pretty straightforward, not a lot of options as to where to put it. The rear however is a little complicated on our boat.

If I mount on the side to match the front, then the base won't fit into the area correctly. It will either be up over the top a little or hanging over the lip. Other option is to mount the rear base on the top which gives plenty of space. Question is will mounting the front on the side and the rear on the top be ok? Do to the curvature of the boat it looks ok, I'm just trying to figure out any issues I might have missed.

I will try and take a couple pictures to show what I mean.

its stronger for the rear to be on top pushing down on the gunwals where there is some reinforcement vs the sides where there is no reinforcement.

you will need to ensure you add plenty of reinforcement to the area behind the mounts in both location.
