yamaha multifunction temp guage issue

I recently installed a new multi function yamaha guage in my boat. the temp guage flashes constantly.
i have checked the dip switches on the back and set them accordingling as per a previous response to another post.
any ideas?

post the engine model number and post where you have the three dip switches now.

225 ox66. dip switches are on, off, off.

thats not a model number
the ox66 225 was made from 1997 to at least 05 in a VX,S,SX and an L version.
need a model number to identify which trim sender you have.
if you have a 3 wire then set the switchs to 0ff,off,off.
sometimes you have to flip them on then back off.
is this a new from a dealer tach or a new to you tach?
if the switch settings are correct unplug the gray wire at the 4 pin trim harness connector under the hood and see if it still flashes.

the guage is brand new from the dealer. one other problem i did mention is that the trim guage also does not work.

Change the dip switch postions to Off, Off, Off. No change.
The model # is SX225TX?
Have not had time to research the trip problem yet.

Have unhooked the grey wire.
Have reset the dip switches to off off off
The model is SX
No change.....

We did find out that the trim sender switch is bad. Would that affect the temp guage?
