Yamaha F6 Fuel Issue

My 2006 F6 will run, but only with the choke on. Does this sound like the carb needs rebuilding? Are there ports that a novice can't find that could be clogged? It seems that the unit is not as complex as some of the larger 4 stroke carbs.
I haven't yet replaced the fuel filter, but that is next before dissmantling the carb.

by runing with the choke on it indicates fuel is in the bowl.
your describig clogged pasages.
its simple but the passages are VERY small and clog EASILY.
I HATE carbed F motors.
