YAMAHA - 2002 90hp (water pump)

First timer, I am looking for location of water pump or diagram of lower unit.I've had several mechanical challenges and need to know if pump is located in lower unit. Then it appears to be (4) bolts holding the unit onto the shaft housing.Will the pinion gear assembly pull apart cleanly?

With all due respect, if you don't know where the water pump is, I suggest you don't tackle any mechanical challenges yourself.If you still want to, you need to get a service manual for that engine. I prefer the Yamaha manual, however there are a couple of aftermarket ones that are decent.Yes, the water pump is in the lower unit. There should be 4 bolts holding on the lower unit AND another one to take the trim tab off AND another one under the trim tab.Good Luck,john
