Default Yamaha 150 HPDI fuel question.

I have twin 150 HPDI's (2001 models) The fuel flow gauge is not giving me a correct reading. While trolling it fluctuates from around 3 to 18 GPH, also the fuel burned is off to. I cant find the part # for the little meter that measures the fuel flow. I have separate ones for each motor mounted after the water separators. Could that be the issue? I am getting ready to replace the fuel lines, I fugured on replacing those while Im at it.

    part# 6y5-85752-01.

you could try swapping them to isolate the issue.

I don't think that swaping them out will help. They both go to one gauge, and I would not know where the problem is. I didn't realize that this part was that expensive, but I guess that anything that says Yamaha on it...... You get what I'm saying. Well, I am trying to figure out if its the gauge or one or both fuel meters. They are severely corroded.

If it's three, you need to get em replaced with the four screw model. should be free from your dealer.

I'm assuming this because I just called Yamaha Cust service to check on tech bulletins for my motors... I still have to check mine too.

if there are 3 your local dealer will replace them free under a recall program.

I just got out the mirror and checked. They have 4 screws holding the plate on the bottom. How often do these go bad? I guess that it could also be the gauge that is going bad?
