    Default Help needed Yamaha 15 4 stroke dies when put in gear

    It idles fine but when I put it in gear I have to give it full throttle or it dies. I can put it in gear and it will idle but as soon as I try to open throttle slowly it dies. Have put in new plugs and Yamaha fuel filter. Any suggestions please? Thanks in advance! Rivermonk

    could be clogged up carb.
    does pumping the primer ball help during this situation?
    wondering if your fuel pump could be shot.

    what is the full model number of the motor? what year? what maint has ever been done.
