    Default Gear ratio yamaha V6

    Does yamaha have any lower units from back in the 80s with gear ratio around 1.60:1 - 1.70:1?

    What is the lowest ratio one can get on a yamaha V6 gearcase?

    they had some in the 1.86-1 range,a few at 2.0.

    I have a few from late 1980's v6's that are tested and in nice shape if you are looking for one. I have never looked at the ratio, but it is pretty easy to do. My email is scbyers@hotmail.com
