85DT suzuki water pump

I really feel like an idiot but I can't get the lower unit off my 1982 suzuki 85DT to change the water pump. Is there any trick or what am I missing. I took out all the bolts and it moves out about 2 inches but wont come all the way off. I have done this job on other engines but can't figure this one out. also when I pull down on the lower unit it moves into forward.help pleaseDwayne

If it's like my DT50 as shown in the parts book. I had to loosen the nut #4 down below the bottom carb enough to unhook the end of shaft#1 from the shift shaft going to the lower unit.
