I have a 2006 Yamaha 4-stroke that was running great 3 minutes after planing off at about 4500rpm the engine slowed than stalled I turned the key, not even a click. I threw the anchor checked the primer bulb, checked the battery connections which were loose and very green with build-up, tried again same results, while my wife was on the phone with sea tow I turned the battery select swich to both and tried again with positive results. I made it back to dock under low rpms, cleaned and /or replaced the connections. I haven't taken it out yet, but I was wondering if the battery was the cause of the stalling. I'm new at this stuff and can use all the help I can get...
