    Default 1990 85HP Yamaha Question

    I was wondering what the RPM should be for my engine at wot? I have a 13 1/4 x 17 prop and was thinking about going to a 19 or 21. Going to install a tach because the engine sounds like it's running too high. I am getting 25kts at 2/3 throttle and 31kts at wot.

    Install the tach first. 5800 woild be ideal.

    I have a 85hp on a f-80 skeeter 15'-1/2". WOT I'm running 5100 at 52mph. 19pitch prop
