1986 70 hp 2 stroke 3 cylinder yamaha oil injection

I was cleaning up the oil injection system on a 1986 yamaha 3 cylinder 2 stroke 70 hp yamaha, 70etlj. When doing so I broke the little plastic link that connects the rod to the oil injection system. It has a stop nut on it, but it was backed off some. I ordered the new part and I need to know where to adjust the oil injection at. I do not want to lean out my motor.

If your talking about the ball and socket attaching to the oil pump; once part comes in the part should be screwed in to the threads a minimum of 8mm. The pump rod should be adjusted so that the between the stop and the cam of the oil pump does not touch. Their is a spec for clearence and it's like .020" but the main reason for this spec is so the rod doesn't effect the throttle valves, throttle valves should not be held open by the oil pump rod connected to the throttle valve/oil pump linkage. At idle these engines can reduce oil by as much as 150:1.
