i have the DPS-A outdrive. last eveing while preparing for a weekend boat trip i happened to notice the water tube was loose. during inspection i found the fitting that screws into the pivot housing had severed off at the neck right where the rubber tube attaches. I am clueless as to how this could happen. I will need to remove the exhaust bellows I know to get to it but the hard part will be to remove what's left of the threaded end of the fitting that is still in the housing. any ideas as to how to get this out?
Remove the drive, remove the big plastic nut and push the rest of the broken fitting out.

Thanks Don. Based on some conversation with some local service shops, my out drive model no longer has the nut to remove. The nipple is threaded from the front into the housing. I did try to remove it last night however it is too brittle and is breaking off. I think it will it be melted out or the drive removed so access is better to cut it lose.
Thanks
