Volvo Penta 3.0 GS alternator wiring diagram

I'm new to boating and recently inherit an old boat with Volvo Penta 3.0 GS engine. However, the old alternator was bad and taken out; there's a new alternator comes with the boat but I do not know which wires go where. Anyone with a wiring diagram, please post it here. Much help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure I follow your question; the label on the engine says 3.0 GS. I'm new to boat and does not know much about it. Are you asking about the model of the engine?

Yes, the model number, the full model number. Or the serial number of the engine.
You are going to need those numbers eventually, but right now maybe just the year of the boat will help. There have been several alternators used, and different wiring.

The boat is 18' made by Regal and the year is 2002.

Yes, that was enough. Assuming you have the same type of alternator, here is the wiring.
One note, the red/purple wire shown may be purple instead of red/purple.
The others will be as shown.
