    Default Volvo 5.7 GL fuel octane?

    my marina has 87 octane 10% ethanol available, should I get 93 octane (probably also 10% ethanol) at the gas station (in 5 gal cans) instead?

    Thanks Don. Not a big difference in performance, economy, or engine life? Is it because the 5.7 carb'd engine is a basic burner, and doesn't really care about octane level? I guess I started thinking about it after reading an owner's manual (see what that gets ya).
