volvo 1987 aq225e one or 2 piece main seal?

Just wondering if anyone off hand knows.

The shape of the rear gasket of the oil pan.

Im looking at the gasket and it is curved. and all one piece.

Would the gm engines of the same year have the same configuration, or do marine engines sometimes come from older year production. Gm made the change in 86 for the pan styles and gaskets. This is a 87 305 volvo, which could be a 86 production, I Just don't know how to tell the difference.

I don't have the gimbal housing off, so I can't see the rear of the motor.

The dip stick is on the right of the motor if looking from the rear of the motor.

Get the casting number from the rear of the block, aft of the cylinder head. Casting numbers are raised numbers cast in the block.
Take the number to http://www.mortec.com/ and look it up.

1 piece rear main seal it is. Used in 86 and 87 and has a 2 bolt rear main
