5.0 Cobra Dipstick Oil Leak

Can anyone help me with an oil leak which appears to be coming between the dipstick brass fitting and the oil pan? I just bough the 94 Chris Craft 22' boat. Nice boat but need to fix the leak. It has a slow drip non-stop, even when not running. Tried using gaskets, O rings, thread tape and still drips. Could it be a pin hole in the oil pan?? Please help. Thanks

Hey JMS, create a signature line that contains the model # of your boat and engine. That will help prospective readers narrow in on the exact type of engine that you have. Also pictures, pictures, pictures... they always help.

Could easily be a pinhole in the oil pan. Stick a digital camera down there and snap a few pictures. I had the same issue. I thought it was the fitting but is was holes in my pan from corrosion.
