I have a 1985 trophy it is 21 foot,has a hard top .the engine is a Volvo a q125/270. It is a walk around small cuddy, has a small sink behind the driver seat. Any one know what the model number is? I've looked at the numbers on the back,the only ones that look like model numbers are 2003?. Any way if someone has one and knows the model number that would be great

If your boat looks like my pictures, it was either a 2159 or 2160. The 2159 was made at one plant and the 60 at another. I assume they were built on oposite coasts. I've owned both. The 2160 was a little newer and was finished out better. http://baylinerownersclub.org/galler...2_itemId=32785

Now, there was an older model with a hard top. Typically, these had a brown hull, shorter hard top. They looked al little bit more like a tug boat. These are loved by the PNW fishermen. You could ask over at the Baylinerownersclub.org forum about this model.

From my experience, you need to check the cheap PVC thru hulls for cracks. An 80s Bayliner usually needs new bilge pumps and float switches. Put the bigger ones in. Find an experienced Volvo mechanic to check your motor outdrive over. If you need to do the work yourself, write "Rick" "2850 Bounty" over at the Bayliner forum.
