School in Maine would like to get six canoes and a trailer, so would appreciate your help.

figure out what you want it to do. just carry canoes, or carry everything. paddles, life vests. Does it have cables to lock boats? Storage lockers for equipment. There are a lot of fabricators and somethings can be added/bolted on later. You just gotta know what you want and check prices. they would be pretty light, plain. so if you had the space you could add truck type lock boxes.

It don't take much to build a rack that can be set onto about any utility trailer....
