Default 1992 Pro 16 - Need to install a tach

My motor is Johnson 25 hp 2cyl. (TJ25ENELS) Any suggestions about wiring or which tach would be much appreciated. There is an unused 3wire connector in the shift/speed control area. Would that be tachometer wiring?
    Thanks
    Lee

I believe your best bet would be to locate a wiring diagram for that particular throttle control. You may be able to find it at the Bombardier website. Your ABSOLUTE best bet though, is to locate an OMC service manual for your particular engine (should be plenty of them on ebay fairly cheap) where they will have the wiring diagram for both the motor & throttle control. That manual is something you should have on hand for many reasons. When you have it, you'll find that you'll use it quite a bit. Geezer.
