While in constant persuit of the perfect boat, I've narrowed my search and am considering a Fish Hawk.
The 1650 fit's my needs well, but it has a 20" transom. Is it smart to upgrade to the 1750 which has a 25" transom? Will the 20" take on water when the boat stops quickly?
My tow vehicle has a max of 2500 lbs., I prefer an efficient 90 hp. 4 stroke motor, and live on a budget so that's mainly why the 1650 looks so good.
Thanks in advance for your input and advice,

im not familiar with this model, but if its an outboard, which i assume it is, if you stop quickly a wall of water does come up and will splash into the splash well but will drain right back out, or the bilge will kick on if its alot

Do you boat in "big water"?

Misouri and Arkansas, but we have some large lakes around here. My main consern is water comming over the transome when I stop quickly. Or, while docked and a large boat wake comes along.

If you're that concerned with it then you should just go with a 25" transom.
