Hello Everyone, I just purchased an open-hull, V-bottom 1976 Sea Nymph 16R40. The manufacturer's plate is illegible in places, and I need some information to complete the registration process, particularly the total weight capacity.
I found the following site listed here, which was very helpful, to order a new plate decal, but I need the information to order it. (https://garzonstudio.com/old/boat/capacity-decal.html)

I'm glad found this forum when I was looking for information, and I hope to put some pictures up soon. Any information about the boat model would be greatly appreciated.

i found this...
Boat Capacity Calculation
If your boat doesn't have a Capacity Plate, you can calculate the number of people you can safely take onboard using the following equation and calculator.
Number of people = vessel length (ft.) x vessel width (ft.) ÷ 15
First, find out the length and width of your boat in feet, then use our calculator to find out your boat's capacity.

Thanks for your help. It looks like I still need the weight capacity. The manufacturer's plate is there, but there is no legible information on the amounts; 47 years of age have taken their toll on the tag. I don't think the numbers were stamped, but probably just printed on the plate when the boat was manufactured.

Thanks. I can almost read the old catalog pages. I think I can get the paperwork done through the mail without all the technical information. I still like to read through the specs, though.

UPDATE: I went to the PFBC (PA Fish and Boat Commission) website, and I think I can get the paperwork done through the mail without all the specific information, like capacities. I think the notary may have been talking about the trailer when she said I needed all the technical stuff. It's still nice to know the information.
