I have replaced my lower end due to it Grenaded and found a 1995 sea pro lower end but when I install it the shifter rod will not connect to the shifter control. I am using the original rod and it seems to be short I don't know why cuz it's all the same as my old lower unit. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
