The web shows an A-B-C measurement method, subtract 6" for my transom mount, round up to the next foot. I measured A+B+C = 159" - 6 = 153" rounded up = 13'. Does this sound correct or should I go to 14' just in case? Is there any harm going slightly larger?

The original cable had to be wrong, once it got back by the transom it drooped down to the floor and then up and then thru the boot, looked to me like it was way too long.

UPDATE: after hacking up the old cable I discovered printed on the cable "13' cable" :)
