The rams of my T/T on a 90 horse Johnson (2000) will not support the weight of the engine. They WILL extend (with motor maanually supported) on use of the switch (so the electrical is ok) but as soon as the motor is placed against the rams, they slowly drop.

Sounds like a hydraulic problem, but I am not sure. Where do I check hydraulic fluid level, and where do I add fluid?

Thanks. Onthefly

Re: trim/tilt problem

Sound like a Hydralic oil leak to me. Or possibly water/ air in the fluid.

There should be a drain / fill screw on the opposite side to the motor.

Spend a couple of buck & get the OMC shop manual. It wil give you diagrams, pictures & procedures.
