there are two rectangle ? on the back of my 1987 50 hp Evinrude motor. Looks like some kind of port. Never see anything coming out of them.<br /><br />Thanks for the help!!<br /><br />Larry

Exhaust relief ports, allows the exhaust pressure to escape when idling. Without those two ports, the pressure would back up and kill the engine.
