Default Evinrude 55hp Pee Hole? Also Noisey.

I guess it's a 77. model number 55773D. The mech where I bought the boat said that year model didn't have a pee hole. There doesn't appear to be a place for one.We ran it a little in their tank and the motor was a bit noisey. In a motorcycle I would have said that it was piston slap from wear. Are these motors just noisey? I will pull the plugs and see how much of the cyl wall I can see. It fired right up.Thanks!

The pistons do fit rather loosely in the bore compared to most anything else. It's kinda hard to tell if it's escessive because it always seems to be.You can add a pee hole. All you need is about 16" of speedometer or aquarium hose and a brass fitting to fit into the block. Some have a 1/8" pipe plug on the top of the cylinder head that you can use to tap in. Other times you have to make your own place. Then it's just a matter of drilling a hole in the pan to stick the hose out of.
