I am thinking of picking up a used tilt-n-trim unit for my Evinrude 40 hp. Before I drop the bucks, (they seem to go for $200 and up) I want to know if they are a problem unit. The only opinion I have so far is that they are (explicative deleted). But I suspect that opion is heavily predjudiced.<br /><br />Thanks for your responses.<br /><br />Mark

How about a brand new CMC tilt and trim unit from here in the Mega Mall, about $400.

Thanks Roscoe, but that unit will not work for me. Looking for something more stock. Unfortunatly the one by Panther only fits up to 35 hp models.<br /><br />Anyone know of a rebuilder of factory trim & tilt units?
