Dhadley, looks like you were right on once again. Remember just before the big storm you were giving me advise on my 115 rebuild. At that time you were about 99% sure coking was the culprit and had said your guess was the boat was over propped. I didn't know how many RPMs the previous owner was running at because I bought the boat with the bad engine. Well, I took the boat out for the first time since finishing it today and after about 3 hours of motoring around I decided to open it up for a short sprint. WOT was about 5400 RPMs with the motor trimmed up a little. I've got about 3 or 4 props that I used to use on my old 110 next time out I will try one of them. It would be nice if my stainless prop worked out to be the right one. How many RPMs should this 98 115 run at wide open? Thanks for all the help and glad to see Charley didn't hurt you too bad. I know it must have been scary down there because she was packing 110 mph winds when the eye came over us 100 miles inland.

Thanks for the update. Its always nice to hear how things turned out.

Do you think we can raise the motor any? Hopefully your ss prop will work. Keep us posted!

Good luck!

PS; It was scarey. As heavy as my Dusky is, I'm sure it would have been blown over if it wasnt hooked to the truck. Kinda weird looking at the trailer wheels trying to come up off the ground.
