I have the above motor that I have been parting out, is there a test I can do on the power pack with a ohm meter that will ensure that it works.
It is off the motor.
Thanks
Randy

That might be a tall order. All the resistance readings in my 1974 115HP Johnson Service manual require the Power Pack to be installed, but I'm far from an expert on Power Packs! It seems that most readings (in ohms) at the Power Pack are for testing everything but the Power Pack itself. Good luck!

Randy, unfortunately proper testing requires a certain test meter, and the motor intact and cranking.
DHP

No, This was a parts engine that came with a good one. My son put the other one on my old boat for his use. The wife wont let us fish in the new one....yet. He has almost made all his money back on parting this one out. I told him, as soon as last part is gone he will began needing them.
