I just bought a 1989 25 hp Johnson. It ran fine for first few times. But it is now exhibiting following problems:<br /><br />(1) Hard to start ( quite a few pulls to get it going )<br />(2) will not idle. If I turn handle to minmimum, it will cut out every time.<br />(3) after running for a bit, it will constantly lose and then surge in power. When it does this it will do it at any speed.<br /><br />Any ideas or suggestions? I am not an expert on engines, but if not to difficult I would like to try and fix myself.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Gary
