I’ve just finished marring what I believe is a 1963 Sea King 6 hp power head to a 1961 Johnson 5 ½ hp lower unit. Neather engine had plugs in it. What plugs should I use and what gap?

The engines would use either Champion J4C or J6C plugs, gapped at .030.<br /><br />Due to the engines ages, the J6C would possibly give you a better idle.

Much appreciated Joe. I'll pick up a set on my way home. I had 1 J6C and 1 J6M which I gapped to .032 just to see if it would start and it did so now I want to get the right plugs in it. Thanks again
