80's evinrude 20-25inch extension

I am getting ready to buy a 125 evinrude motor for a 19 ft bayliner center console.I just wanted to know where i can buy an extension to convert the lower unit from a 20 in. to a 25 in. The boat requires a 25 in. motor,i have heard that johnsom/evinrude are the easiest to convert.I appreciate any and all feed backs relating to my post. THANKS,DSOLO :confused:

Welcome!<br /><br />If the 125 is a 1971 or 72 I dont believe OMC made a conversion. There were some later commercial 125 V4 loopers that may have been produced as a 25".<br /><br />There used to be a company called Bay Manufacturing that made aftermarket kits. <br /><br />Post your model number so we know what year you have.
