evil

I just did it with my old Johnson. I took digital photos of the taking apart process, so I could be sure I knew where everything went. I dont have my service manual yet.

Good Luck,

Daron

Don't get carb cleaner on the O-ring gaskets. Be sure the floats and needlevalves move freely before you put the carbs back together. Its easy to get the little clip, that holds the needle to the float arm, in a bind when you install the floats.

thanks guys, Is it ok to soak the plastic throttlebodies in carb cleaner. Gunk cleaner says no plastic but has anyone tried it?

I don't soak the the plastic carbs. Clean them with the straw nozzle and blow out with compressed air. Then get in good light and visualize that all passages, orifices and air jets are clean.
