'78 70 hp - air filter

Checking everything out on my carbs for loss of power problem and just noticed there is no filter fitter in the plastic air box - is this correct?<br />steve

Don't get alot of dust on the water is my guess as to why. Most sleds ain't got them either.

Thanks guys. Am awaiting a manual from my local dealer but too imatient to wait. Have carbs in pieces - no obvious crud in there but giving it all a liberal dose of carb claner. Only jet i can find is accessible by removing a sealed screw at inlet side of carb - only thing that puzzles me here is the screw when fully home against the joint appears to fully seal off the jet or am i missing something? Is it possible to download any info on these carbs ? thanks steve
