I have just purchased a 1998 30hp Johnson. I have taken it out serveral times and it seems to run fine. However I am not clear about what several of the controls are for. There is a small knob in the middle of the tiller throttle. What does it do? Also just to the right of the tiller( when looking back )is another small knob that turns. Does it adjust the carb mixture? It is attached to a small box under the cowl with several lines running in and out of it. This motor was repainted and any control markings were painted over. <br /><br />Thanks for your help.
