I just swapped motors on my 14' runabout and was wandering if I am propped right. I am running @5200 wot at about 34 mph, and it gets there real quick. Does that sound right? Also, I am getting a slight hesitation as soon as I hit the gas if I use 87 octane, but if I use 89 it dissapears. Is there a way to correct this so I can use the cheaper gas? Thanks. Troy.

The hesitation may be directly related to the low RPM's you're running. It may also need a Lync and Sync of the throttle linkage, so the timing in relation to the throttle position is correct. Prop toward 5500-5700 with a normal load on the boat.
