IDLES - DIES W/O PRIMING - WEAK TOP END

A 1996 Evinrude 25 hp. It starts fine, but dies at idle. If I prime it just as the rpms drop, it smooths out. It also "sneezes" occasionally - which I am told indicates a lean condition. It runs smoothly at WOT, but seems underpowered. I bought it used and never had it running well, so I have nothing to compare it to. I rebuilt the carb, new plugs, checked the coils, changed the fuel tank and supply line to the motor. I would welcome any suggestions that you have. thanks, flyingkegler.

Do a sync & link and try it again. If no improvement you may have missed some crud in the carb.

Thanks for the advice SoLittle - but being a novice to these two cycle engines I do not know what sync and link is. Could you (or someone) please tell me about it? Thansk for your help and patience.
