right prop?

I have a 19ft hyrdasport with a 200 GT Johnson, just had the stator replaced and my tach is now working. I am running 4500 rpm's at full throttle and only getting 44 mph. Running a 26 pitch shooter 13 1/4 4 blade prop, real slow getting the bow down. Please help......

Are you sure the tach's set on position 6?<br /><br />Do you have a jackplate? The Shooter bites pretty hard (as you see) and likes to run high.<br /><br />Youre almost 1500 rpm off your target rpms. Lets varify the tach first.

Yes I have a jack plate and it is set in the middle. My rpm's are 4500 at full throttle at full trim. Not sure what my tach is set at.

Cool. Lets verify the tach setting first and then raise it a bit. <br /><br />Note the water pressure and keep an eye on it as we go up.
