on my 1966 40hp rude water comes out the pee hole on the back of the motor fine at a idle and a around 10 mph once i go wot water is not coming out that i can see of really comes out at idle though

Repalce the water pump. If ia isn't working right at WOT you will cook the motor.

Also, check the water pickup above and behind the prop to make sure it isn't clogged.

Part of the problem may also be t-stat related. Possible it's not coming all the way open or is stuck partially open. Do as suggested in the previous posts and also replace the t-stat.

so the problem i amhavign is the waterpump ? it seems to work at 1/2 throttle but not at full

Sometimes when a impeller is getting tired it will pump good at idle but the when the rpms are higher the blades can’t handle the load and fold back.
