remove clipper box? 72 johnson 100 V4

Yes, it’s the newbie again…<br /><br />It’s a 1972 Johnson 100 V4<br />model 100ESL72R<br />SN 13685403<br /><br />I have heard some bad things about the clipper box causing a no spark condition and I want to remove it to avoid future problems.<br /><br />I believe it to be this.<br /><br />

Hey Buddy,<br />I just read your other post about the intermittent engine failure and yes, the clipper can cause that. Like I said, go ahead and take it out. <br /><br />c/6<br />Hooty
