1968 Erude 40hp Lark - Cowl?

I keep seeing pictures of motors with a cover over the top of the flywheel. I can see 3 unused bolt holes on my 40hp Lark model number 40872. Should it have a cover or are they just pull start assemblies for motors without a starter? Thanks.

The unused bolt holes are for a flywheel puller.<br /><br />No worries, you're fine.
