My problem is the shift arm is stuck in forward. The arm can't be moved to neutral or reverse. The motor runs great and is well maintained. This just happened my last time out with it. Any insight on what happened would be great. Thanks John

Did you turn the throttle handle back to shift before attempting to get out of forward gear?

OK, I'm going to suggest that you do a search (use search button above) using "6HP stuck" and read the various threads. I think you will find the answer to your problems.

Let us know how you resolve the problem, and thanks in advance.

Try rotating the propeller when shifting into gear.Forcing the shifter into gear without spinning prop may cause damage to the shifter.
