Have been struggling with finding source of powerloss when shifting into forward. Can't get above 2500 rpm.Fuel is clear, no plugs in pickup line from tank to engine, replaced fuel sensor, filter is clean, new plugs but when pulled after running they are wet and engine is a bit smoky (2cycle). Is this ignition problem? Should I replace coil next? Any ideas??

You need an in-line spark tester to see if all plugs are firing.<br />Next, don't ever run over 2000RPM in neutral...that's a good way to end up dead from a blown flywheel.
