I have a 35HP 1999/2000 tiller steer Johnson outboard and would like to put a battery charging system on it. I am aware that this model already has an alternator and have located the two yellow wires that provide AC power. I believe that a rectifier is need and possibly a regulator. Any info on what parts or circuitry is needed and how I can do this myself would be greatly appreciated.
