Hi All,<br />Does anyone know where I can find a control box / gear shift for a 1974 Johnson in the Connecticut area?<br />Does anyone have any tips for changing this out myself? <br />Thanks,<br />Bobby Z
dont know where you can find one but they are easy to change out ,you should have three electrical harness one that has a red round conector just plug that in the red round connector on the motor thenthe heavy guage wire to the starter and the other harness to (um i forgot what it it but its like a little coil there will be other wires on it too
oh and then you have a shift control and a throttle control move your control arm to see witch one is witch make sure throttle isnt too tight or too loose
