VRO line ID

Goin' to the cottage tommorrow a.m. (yep gonna make it a loooong weekend) and am going to eliminate the vro pump on my 19?? 65 hp johns?rude.<br />What is the ID of the line feeding the pump at the motor so I can bring a bolt to plug and clamp it?

5/16" .If you are going to use a bolt ,I recommend a stainless steel one with some smoothe shank below the hex and cut off the threads.There is actually a plastic yellow colored saddle fitting for this purpose in the engine compartment on the fuel line.It has a rubber cap on one side of it for capping the oil line off at the inline flow indicator before the pump and the other plastic piece is for plugging the oil line.This is just placed in there as a temporary solution to a vro oil problem though and not as a permanent install.Good luck.
