Been working on my evinrude shift problems and found when I dropped the L/U that both solenoids have a lot of corrisson on them. Cleaned them up and replaced the L/U no problems with that, but now the motor will not start. Check for spark, none to be found. Got the manual out and check as per manual. I could not get any high voltage reading from the power pack. The coil has spark and the sensor has a ohm reading per manual. So I checked grounds and connecters, all look to be good. I did take the power pack off to clean ground under that. I did see a larger bump, like something may have blown up under the rubber or what ever it is potted in. I have not taken the flywheel off. Hope I do not have to.

The motor started with no problems and ran great before I took the L/U off.

Can anyone help me?
