Evinrude 50 Identification

Evinrude 50 Outboard Motor.

I just bought it, it runs great.

It is silver, with blue stripes on engine cover.

It is a twin cyl engine.

The name plate is missing.

The only numbers inside I can find are:

On the frost plug, C7147524.

On the engine 326100

On the Carbs, 325343

any help would be great.

Check for an number that starts with 50.........

You can check for the year by checking freq. asked questions. There you will find a data base with all the information you will need to figure out the year.

From the SN I'm guessing 1981 or 82. C711nnnn is an '81 engine, and C715nnnn is an 82.

Seems nameplates from around this time fall off a lot.

if you post a picture of it I could most likely tell at least what year the cover is
