I have read that some 9.9hp Johnsons can be converted to a 15hp by simply changing the carb. I was wondering if the same can be done with my 1965 9.5hp?
Hi, Tony.<br /><br />What you read about the 9.9 is wrong. Even though the 9.9 and 15 share a block, there are many more differences than the carb.<br /><br />The 9.5 does not share a block with any other engine, and cannot be "converted".<br /><br />Good luck.
